2008 Discovery Days Workshop
As part of Discovery Days, 24 high school students and 1 teacher from Toronto and surrounding areas had the opportunity to explore the Industrial BioDevelopment Laboratory and the workshop hosted on Disease Outbreak Monitoring.

In this workshop students had the chance to learn about one of the methods for monitoring the outbreak of disease (such as HIV, avian flu, etc.) in a human population. Students also had the opportunity to run their own test to determine the spread of a fictitious disease within their own student group.
